Singapore has decided to allow up to 75% of employees to return to the office from 5th April with safeguard measures though work from home is still strongly encouraged. With vaccination programs steadily progressing globally, it is expected that more workers will return to offices. In the early stages of COVID-19 and the lockdowns, AV experts’ scrambled to get remote working capabilities up and running quickly for their clients. Though companies would prefer to go back to pre-COVID-19 times, most surveys show that more would like to work from home or have a hybrid arrangement. This could be the future of work arrangements. As such, AV experts need to help create an ideal work environment leveraging technologies that will adhere to health and safety issues and at the same time offer a seamless hybrid experience. Do read the contribution from Abdul Waheed, Managing Director of EYETE Technologies, on the State of Workplace AV in 2021. Waheed highlights several trends that the AV industry should pay attention to.
