Fat is not the best in large quantities, especially trans-fat, which I'll talk about in a moment. But fat has a lot more calories than an equivalent amount of carbohydrates and protein, so eating an entire stick of butter with a deep fried waffle —a la Homer Simpson—is still not a great idea.
