(page 49) ARTICLE XXII RULES OF PROCEDURE Section 98. If the Charter of Incorporation or by-laws of SPJST are silent as to any procedural aspect of any action or meeting hereunder, the procedures of the latest edition of “Robert’s Rules of Order” shall control such procedure. The rules contained in the current edition of Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised shall govern SPJST in all cases to which they are applicable and in which they are not inconsistent with the Charter of Incorporation, the by-laws, or any special rules of order SPJST may adopt.

Between meetings of the Convention, the Board of Directors may by two-thirds vote of all members of the Board of Directors, amend these by-laws in any way necessary to clarify or give effect to Convention enactments, to remove or revise contradictions or ambiguities, or to make these by-laws conform to the laws of the State of Texas. District Five Delegates’ Meeting Sunday, July 19 at Lodge 88, Houston
Dear District Five Delegates,
A delegates’ meeting has been scheduled at Lodge 88, Houston on Monday, July 19, 2021, following the 7 p.m. monthly meeting. Please try to come. A light dinner of hot dogs and watermelon will be available after the meeting.
Please review proposals prior to the meeting, and be ready with any questions or concerns you may wish to discuss.

SPJST District Seven Spring Meeting, hosted by Lodge 202, Jourdanton, will be Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Jourdanton Community Center, located at 1101 Campbell Avenue in Jourdanton, Texas.
RSVP for Lunch
Registration begins at 10 a.m. Refreshments will be furnished by Lodge 202, Jourdanton. The lunch served at 12:15 p.m. will consist of a lasagna or King Ranch chicken plate with salad, garlic bread, and dessert for $5. Members are asked to report the number of plates needed to your lodge secretary by Friday, July 16.
The meeting begins at 10:30 a.m. Members are asked to bring items for the silent auction. Members are also asked to bring glasses and cases, hearing aids, and aluminum can tabs.

A delegates’ meeting will follow the district meeting, and all delegates are encouraged to attend.
