En performancekoncert i konferenceformat iscenesat af Eva Reiter og Karin Harrasser, professor i kulturstudier på University of Linz. I det 18. århundrede begyndte mærkelige og storslåede hybrider mellem barok og oprindelige kulturers musik at strømme ud fra Jesuit-missionen i den boliviske by Chiquitania.
FREDAG 10. SEPT.
Eupepsia giver dette musikarkiv nyt liv i et blandet eksperimentarium, som kombinerer barokke og elektroniske instrumenter. Indtrængen, hybridisering, appropriation, assimilation: En refleksion over de langsigtede konsekvenser af kolonisme.
LØRDAG 11. SEPT.
A performance-concert in conference-format devised by Eva Reiter and Karin Harrasser, Professor of Cultural Studies at the University of Linz. In the 18th century, strange and magnificent hybrids of baroque and indigenous music began to emerge from the Jesuit missions of the Bolivian Chiquitania. Eupepsia puts this musical archive to work through a mixed instrumentarium that combines baroque and electric instruments. Intrusion, hybridisation, appropriation, assimilation: a reflection on the long-term effects of colonialism.
