Almost a year to the day since his sensational performance when winning the Listed Summer Juvenile Stakes at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Met day 2022, Canford Cliffs’ smart son
Cliff Top registered his second consecutive win with a smart effort in the R175 000 Fairview Merchants on Friday.

Richard Fourie, Cliff Top tracked the leader, quickened up well and was geared down at the line to register a 5,25 length win in the non blacktype 1200m contest.
The 3yo registered a time of 67,10 secs and beat the 5yo Spring Awakening (16-1) easily.
The winner is a son of Europe’s dominant miler at three and four Canford Cliffs, who won five consecutive Gr1 races over the trip. He has produced winners in over 30 countries, including more than 40 stakes perfomers.
The winner was bred by Ridgemont Highlands out of the Western Winter one-time winner Bacqueira.
Cliff Top has now won 4 races with 4 places from 11 starts for stakes of R453 313.
