Welcome by Adam Burchell I am very different to most people. My motto is "fitter, faster, stronger, better". I only believe in better. This is because I believe there is no end to what you can do. I love training as it helps you to keep learning and improving however good you are. I'm the type of person that will see a professional do something on TV and I will go out into my garden or the park and try it for hours until I perfect it. I know that the best place for me to improve is in the US because there are far better opportunities there and the profile of soccer is rising dramatically due to the great success of the national team in the World Cup. There are also more players wanting to play in the MLS which shows that the standard is improving. I am very enthusiastic about all aspects and contribute to every part of the game. All I have wanted to do since I could kick a ball at the age of 4 is play football. I can play in many different attacking positions on the field because of my ability to adapt quickly. This is helped by my footballing brain. I see the game in different ways to other people I know what I am doing before I receive the ball. I am always looking around the pitch, this helps me because sometimes I will do the unexpected which will create a chance for another player or more room for myself to find a pass or shoot. I have shown that I can be a leader on and off the pitch by being vice captain of my school's 1st XI. I lead by example off the field by my attitude, desire and passion for the game. I believe that my passion for the game and determination to improve has made me into the player I am today.

Refere ADAM BURCHELL I have had the pleasure of coaching Adam since he was 15 years old. Technically, he is one of the most gifted boys I have ever coached at schoolboy level and also one of the most committed. He was an ever-present member of the successful 1st XI last season, and produced a number of outstanding performances in several attacking positions. He played a pivotal role with his trickery and ability to unlock defences, scoring 14 goals (including two brilliant hat-tricks) and setting up as many for his team mates. His quick feet are matched by an equally quick football brain and he has worked hard to develop his weaker foot to such an extent that it is hard to tell which one is stronger. As a member of the 1st XI, I have always found him to be enthusiastic, cheerful and very good natured, with a refreshingly positive attitude to both training and matches. He gets on extremely well with his team mates and is always a positive influence in the dressing room. Before I embarked on a teaching career I was a professional footballer (Fulham and Southend United) and I have to say that his attitude to all aspects of the game is as good as any players that I have played with. I am very confident that Adam would thrive in any University soccer team and I can give him my strongest possible recommendation. ence Having managed Adam for a full season of Under 18’s football and managed him during a major European tournament in Berlin this Summer, I can honestly say that not only is he a fantastic footballer, but he is an absolute joy to work with. He is one of the few players at his age who gets better every time you see him play. This is down to his attitude and desire to learn from his coaches and improve as a player. He is so grounded as a person that he doesn’t know how good he is and can be. Adam is a very unique footballer and he plays to his strengths. He has quick feet, blistering pace and when he plays on the wing, gives full backs a torrid time. I haven’t seen many full backs keep him quiet, if any. He has a great delivery and he chips in with goals too. He won Players Player of the year last season and was player of the tournament in Berlin. He scored 7 goals in 4 games playing at a high level of football, including a hat trick in our last group game against Sweden, which we won 3-2,having been 2-1 down with 6 minutes to go. The composure he showed to slot the last minute penalty into the corner to win the game sums Adam up as a player and I am sure was the highlight of his short career to date. If you are after someone with fantastic ability, a great attitude and the highest level of commitment you could ask for in a player, then Adam is definitely the one. Any University would be lucky to have him. Best wishes Adam Klein Adam Burchell : Sporting Elite - Soccer, 7
