Reference
To whome it may concern, Rufus is an outstanding young athlete who has the physical attributes necessary to excel at a number of sports. Rufus has a lot to offer on the Football field, with a good touch, a balanced running style and strength on the ball especially in the air. He is strong in defence and has a wide range of passing skills, giving him the ability to both instigate attacking plays and clear his lines with accuracy and consistency Although Rufus’ first love is football he has captained the School Rugby team well showing a strong yet well rounded leadership style. He has represented the school at every level from U12 right up until the Schools First XV playing either in the centre, on the wing or at fullback. He is a prolific try scorer, studied goal kicker and a strong defender. Over the course of his time at St James Rufus has played in a regional cup final (Middlesex U16 Cup) and has won the plate trophy at two National Sevens tournaments. Outside of team sports Rufus is a powerful athlete with a good record in the 100m and 200m at local and regional level. He has an excellent level of fitness and a strong work ethic which will make him an asset to any sporting organisation. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions regarding Rufus. Ben Wassell Head of Physical Education
