The Firefighter Challenge is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that focuses on inspiring and transforming the health and well-being of First Responders while inspiring the next generation of firefighters.
QUALIFYING EVENTS FOR U.S. NATIONALS:
Season Opener: The Firefighter Challenge Season Kickoff Spectacular (typically held in April of each year) Regional Firefighter Challenge Championship Events (five events, one per region)
U.S. NATIONALS FIREFIGHTER CHALLENGE CHAMPIONSHIP:
Top competitors in all divisions proudly representing their regions and competing for bragging rights in the USA
WORLD FIREFIGHTER CHALLENGE CHAMPIONSHIP:
The best competitors representing countries from around the world competing for global bragging rights
The Firefighter Challenge is composed of (5) gruesome obstacles that participants must overcome.
Firefighter Challenge participants are the perfect athlete targets for the World Police and Fire Games. These competitors are all eligible for the WPFG and have proven they are willing to train, travel and pay to compete in sporting events.

Alabama firefighter showdown was part of the BHM 2025 Showcase event, a concept that supports the Birmingham Host Committee's mission to bring sport, honor, and awareness to the Greater Birmingham community.

250+ firefighters from around the Us competing in the 5 DAYS OF COMPETITION THAT INCLUDES INDIVIDUAL, FIRE DEPARTMENT RELAYS, AND TANDEM CHALLENGES.
OUTSIDE OF COMPETITION THE u.s. NATIONALS INCLUDED A WELCOME RECEPTION AT BARBER MOTORSPORTS AND A SOCIAL A BROCKS GAP BREWING IN HOOVER.
The US National Firefighter Challenge not only got attention from local news stations, but it also made millions of impressions in the digital world too.

THIS YEAR THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS SOLD OUT AT 350 FIREFIGHTER WORLDWIDE REGISTERING TO COMPETE.
U.S NATIONAL FIREFIGHTER CHALLENGE WAS SUCH A SUCCESS THAT BIRMINGHAM HOST COMMITTEE IS ANTICIPATING BIDDING TO BRING BACK THE FIREFIGHTER CHALLENGE IN SOME CAPACITY.
