ROBERTSON SAYS: While being a busy mom of two sweet boys I am also the Director of Sales and Marketing for Raider Ranch. I play because I am around the disease every day, in our Memory Care Community, and see the devastation it causes. At the rate of diagnosis- I, or many people close to me will end up with Alzheimer’s and I want to fight for all of them while I can. There will be a cure one day and who knows- I may be helping raise money for a cure I may one day receive. One interesting fact is that I am an identical twin and we are five minutes apart.

GALINDO SAYS: I am currently the Business Development Specialist for DHC Home Health & Hospice, Founder/Owner of Heaven’s Hope for Ovarian Cancer, and President of SPHCA. In my spare time, I play volleyball and I am currently training for my Black Belt in Jiu Jitsu.

AMMONS SAYS: I work for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission as a Texas Works Advisor III (Assistant Supervisor). We serve needy Texans by determining eligibility for social services such as SNAP, Medicaid, CHIP and TANF. I absolutely love waking up and going to work every day knowing I will make a difference in someone’s life. I’m also pursuing my Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at Texas Tech University’s Rawls College of Business. I lost my grandfather in 2010 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. I’m involved in BvB to help bring awareness and raise money to help fund research and eventually finding a cure. Alzheimer’s affects millions of families everyday so every step taken is a step closer! I worked for a President of the United States of America! 4 |

ASSITER SAYS: I work at the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce as their Marketing Specialist.I playing in BvB for fun and to help raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease. a. I don’t know if this is a “fun” fact, but since this is Blondes v Brunettes I think this is an interesting fact… Although I’m now a natural blonde I was actually born with black hair that then turned red before ever turning blonde. My mom has very few pictures of me during the stage when I had all three shades at once. J (blonde roots, red in the middle and black tips!)

BRAZIEL SAYS: From 8-5 I am the Director of Marketing and Sales for CareMinders Home Care. I am playing in the BvB to raise awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of my grandmother, Nelda Dippel, and her two sisters that had Alzheimer’s, as well as for the many patients that I have taken care over the years along with the patients that I continue to care for now at CareMinders Home Care. A fun fact about me…hmmm? I love to travel the world. I recently toured Europe where my family originated from to learn more about our history.

BROWN SAYS: I am a freelance graphic designer and painter. I am also Mylo & Sophia’s nanny (two
gorgeous 2yr. old twins) Monday-Friday. I signed up after hearing about it from a friend who signed up to play. I thought it sounded fun and I love getting involved in my community. Only after signing up and telling family & friends about the cause did I find out that Alzheimer’s has affected many of my friends lives. One of my father’s nurses informed me that her mother suffers from dementia which has caused hardships for the family. She struggles to remember names and to carry out basic activities in daily life. Our memories are precious, sometimes they are the only things getting us through a difficult day. And when you lose that simple, yet powerful gift, it just isn’t fair. I’m taking the field with these other great women to tackle this horrible disease.I am a world traveler & love getting lost in other cultures. I’ve been to Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Greece, Croatia, France, Spain, & Switzerland.
