Cricket clinics W. Cape, Gauteng & KZ-N
The Cricket School of Excellence hosted a series of three-day clinics in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Ladysmith over the December festive season. These were well received by local communities and a number of eager young cricketers attended, smartly turned out in their clinic T-shirts.
At the end of the final day of each clinic an awards ceremony was held where various awards and Sportsmans Warehouse prizes were handed out. Thanks to Lee Ramdeen and the Pietermaritzburg team for branding the Ladysmith event and to Luzipo of Head Office for making sure branding was ready for the Cape Town clinic.
Sportsmans Warehouse Boland Key Health Tennis Tournament W. Cape
This tournament, held from 19th to 23rd December created a showcase for talented junior tennis players from all over the country. The tournament was played by around 400 young contestants at clubs in the Strand, Somerset West and Stellenbosch. INSIDE TRACK | FEB 2014 | 4

PwC George Claassen Half Marathon Pretoria
The PwC George Claassen Half Marathon is an annual event that takes place in Menlyn, Pretoria, wending its way through the city’s picturesque Eastern suburbs. As a popular event amongst locals and visitors, the race this year had close to 5000 participants.
Apart from the 21,1 km event, there were a 10 km race and a 5 km fun run. Thanks to Frikkie and the 20 staff members from Atterbury, Centurion, Zambezi, Woodmead and East Rand for manning two water stations en route.
Jumpertrax Heritage Day Run Gauteng
The Jumpertrax 14 km and 6 km trail runs took place on Sunday 19th October, starting and finishing on the Hakahana farm located in Tshwane, 14 km west of Pretoria. This ex horse farm consists of huge paddocks, rivers and pristine bushveld koppies. We were once again delighted to sponsor these races, the first of the 2014 Jumpertrax series.
Staff teams from West Rand Crossing store, together with Frikkie’s matchless organization, ensured that our branding was tops.

NEW SEA POINT BRANCH raises Cape Town’s total to seven
Our first-ever Sportsmans Warehouse on the Atlantic seaboard opened to great excitement on Saturday 14th December, in time for the last ten days of festive season sales. Staff and contractors worked hard to transform the newly built space into an enticing retail experience – as our photographs prove. It certainly paid off and many enthusiastic customers visited the sparkling new store, enjoying the excellent opening deals. Well done to regional manager Craig Pike, branch manager Waylon Schaffer and the dedicated store staff who made this opening such a roaring success. INSIDE TRACK | FEB 2014 | 7
Nelspruit is relaunched with a brand-new look
When all the hard work was over, Nelspruit store opened its doors on Saturday 7th December to reveal its beautiful new look. To celebrate, the branch treated Laeveld sports lovers to a weekend of fantastic deals, making the re-launch a welcome event that drew the customers.
Port Elizabeth wrap stars boost Save-a-Pet drive Gift wrapping certainly paid off for pets in PE this season. Our Moffett Retail Park store raised R11 000 from this handy service and donated the entire sum to the local Save-a-Pet charity. The grateful Save-a-Pet organizers visited the store to receive the money, bringing along two appealing pooches to meet and mingle with staff.
