Volatility continues in sports construction market

There seems to be no immediate relief from the ongoing issue of disruptions in the supply of products for the construction sector

hroughout 2021, construction projects of all kinds – not just those within the sports and physical activity sector – were affected by constant

changes in the availability and cost of a range of products and materials essential to building projects. The spikes in building material costs – and unforeseen delays in delivery times – were some of the unexpected consequences of the pandemic and will likely continue for some time. The volatility is caused by a “perfect storm” of various factors and issues. These include the increased costs and scarcity of raw materials – from oil to steel – and fluctuations in exchange rates.
