BUSINESS CONNECT update

Since launching Business Connect in Tampa Bay at the beginning of November, over 1,200 diverse-owned businesses applied by the application’s deadline on February 14, 2020. These businesses will be vying for the coveted 250+ spots allotted for the program, giving them the opportunity to compete for contracts with the NFL and their partners leading up to and during Super Bowl LV. The host committee recently hosted their “pitch day” during the last week of February, serving as part of the selection process for the program in addition to phone interviews and other one-on-one meetings to help narrow down the pool of applicants. The NFL and the host committee plan to announce their selected businesses by this summer.
