BUSINESS CONNECT update
The Super Bowl LV Business Connect team is working strategically to stay connected, as well as provide relevant and proactive programming for member vendors. In addition to a welcome webinar for all Business Connect Resource Guide members in late March that provided an overview of what member vendors can expect from the program, the team also created a “pro tips” link on the vendor portal providing critical and helpful information to the vendors in an effort to maximize their success in the program.
In response to recent business disruptions, the Business Connect team hosted a six-session Contractor Webinar Series in April including individual webinars for catering, décor, event production, general contracting, signage and staffing. This webinar series featured up to eight representatives from NFL contracting groups discussing their company’s contracting processes, timelines, vendor expectations and more. The personal connection between contractors and vendors that was made facilitated the kickoff of the initial round of Super Bowl LV procurement.
In June, Business Connect will continue to host virtual workshops focused on helping to bring economic balance into the local, diverse-owned business community in Tampa. These efforts will support in identifying ways to adapt to changing business trends and vendor efforts to scale up to be Super Bowl ready post COVID-19.
