Shally is a Fashion & Lifestyle Content Creator – The Mode Tree (my blog’s name) based in Delhi NCR, also working as Senior Social Media Executive for a Top US based Business Magazine. As a Content Creator, I’ve worked with Top brands and Agencies over the span of almost 5 years. I am a VIT University, Vellore (B.Tech) Grad and an MBA post grad from Cardiff University, United Kingdom. I’ve been listed as Top Bloggers to follow in Delhi got featured twice in Cosmopolitan Jan’ 18 issue and July’20 issue & collaborated with Vogue India. I was nominated among Top 3 Finalists for Best Affiliate Blog by IAMAI (India Affiliate Awards) & won Best Social Media Influencer 2021 by The Crazy Tales.

1) When did you start fashion blogging? I wrote my first blog in December 2016, it was supposed to be a travel blog since I traveled a lot of places from 2008, after I joined college but It became a legit fashion blog in October 2017
2) From being an Engg to a Blogger? How did it happen? I am not a full-time content creator however, it's 2021 anyone can do anything!
3) What was the inspiration or the trigger that you thought about getting into Fashion Blogging? I was interested in Fashion from a younger age. I just made a platform for my love for Fashion.
4) Did your parents not object that you studied Engg and now you are moving into Fashion and Blogging? How did you tackle them? My father always wanted to be financially independent no matter what I do. My mother and brother have always supported me in all my ventures (Touchwood)
5) Which was the first brand you worked with and how was the experience? The first official collaboration was with Stalk Buy Love and Love the bags and clothes they sent me!
6) How did you decide on the name Mode Tree, is there any story behind it? After coming. back from London, I was preparing for my master again/PhD for Germany. I was taking German classes, we were learning words hence Mode which means fashion and I have seen my father working with trees as DFO- Forest Department since I was born and also trees depict growth thus TheModeTree.
7) How much time every day or every week do you give to this work? Weekends are booked for the blog, weekdays for office!
8) What are the current projects you are working on? Currently, I am working with Instagram on paid partnership.
9) How do you see yourself 5 years from now? Taking TheModeTree to new heights!
10) How has the COVID pandemic affected fashion bloggers and your work? Has it been a boon or a bane? Yes of course, it affected everyone but it also motivated me to make more videos.
11) What is your mantra for success? Work Hard! Do the smart work when needed.
12) For all the folks who want to start their own blog, what would be 5 tips which you would like to give to them for growth in this field?
Be yourself, Be confident, Have patience, Know your worth and Be consistent.
