Agent best practices for a great shoot Turn on all the lights. Turn off TV’s and where possible, move cords behind appliances. Any personal images, such as family portraits, should be covered or removed. Political propaganda is not recommended. Where possible, please remove before the shoot. Cars should be removed from the driveway and where possible moved to the other side of the street to enable clear external shots. Stage the house. Have the house ready to shoot. All garbage and furniture moved, everything cleaned, beds made, pillows fluffed, everything done so the photographer doesn’t have to move anything photographers are only shooting. Turn off Ceiling Fans. Turn on any water features. If you have a jacuzzi ensure it is on and have the cover open. Have any pets on premises restrained. Pull up the blinds or open them to a 45 degree angle. HDR shots look best with blinds pulled up. Have all doors and any closets you want photographed open. Wear a mask that covers the nose and mouth. Stay 6 feet away (or further).

PHOTOGRAPHY styles

Things to consider when selecting a shoot style IS THE HOME FURNISHED?

How will the selected style affect the appearance of the furniture and fixtures?

HDR - ARE THERE GOOD VIEWS FROM THE WINDOW?

If not, you may want to consider if a HDR will add value to the shots.

ARE THERE A VARIETY OF COLORS THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHOW OFF? Consider going with our “Vibrant” Style

WHAT ERA/THEME IS YOUR HOME DESIGN REPRESENTATIVE OF?

Eg: If your home is of the Victorian Era, the modern shots can present a more updated style, whereas a log cabin would have the warmth and rustic approach better represented with the Traditional style of shooting.

WHAT SEASON ARE YOU IN WHEN THE IMAGES ARE BEING SHOT?

Vibrant can blow out the white of snow and give an unrealistic feel to some homes, whereas Modern can look especially crisp and sharp.

Modern OUR NEW STYLE With our rebranding we moved into a more creative mindset when it comes to our imagery. Focusing not only on how the image looks, but how the image feels. From the photographer's side the modern style focuses on lining up linear lines and following horizon lines to create a more engaging image. On our editor's side, our style engages in rich shadows, moody views and a crisp contrast. With this new style we include a lot of detail shots which give an editorial finish to the tour. *The examples on the next slide*

Twilights MODERN ( OUR STANDARD )

TWILIGHTS

Our modern style consists of aqua blues, warmer orange hues, and a decrease in yellows. A modern twilight edit skips the moodier richer shadows and focuses on a moody color contrast as to not have the photo look dark.

TRADITIONAL Our traditional style is our established twilight style consisting of darker saturated skies paired with bright yellow tinted windows.
