As the years go by, new challenges and frontiers unravel. Our yearning for new spotting experiences only seems to grow. Fuelled by the successes of 2016, where we celebrated our 10th anniversary with the largest number of tours we ever organised, we’re getting even more ambitious for 2017. Here’s to another year of great planespotting adventures!

Being not only a NATO member with a respectable air force, Norway draws on a long and distinguished aviation heritage dating back to the earliest days of aviation.
The Sola Airshow at Stavanger attracts a number of participants from both the military and warbird operators in the North. Departing to Stavanger via London, we will have the opportunity to spot late into the evening thanks to the Midnight Sun, before heading to our hotel.
The next day will be dedicated to airshow arrivals and rehearsals, as well as a visit to the Flyhistorik Museum. The next two days will be spent at the Airshow , and we will be able to spot the airshow departures on Monday, together with the civil movements at Stavanger prior to our return flight to Malta via London Hearthrow.

Europe’s largest airshow rarely disappoints. With a line-up ranging from warbirds to the latest military hardware, and the regular appearance of air arms from all over the globe, Fairford is a must for the serious military planespotter.
The Royal International Air Tattoo needs no introduction. We depart early in the morning, and spend a day spotting at London Heathrow, one of Europe’s major hubs, with its regular wide-body visitors. We will then proceed to our hotel, where we shall prepare for our next four days at the Royal International Air Tattoo.
For the best experience possible, seats will be reserved in the enclosure reserved for the Friends of the Royal International Air Tattoo, where we can also enjoy dedicated catering and toilet facilities, free wifi and left luggage services. This is considered the best vantage point for the flying display which practically lasts all day. At some point during the tour, we will also visit the former RAF Kemble, with its resident Red Arrows Gnat and Bristol Britannia.

Following the demise of the Waddington airshow, RAF Scampton will now be hosting the RAF’s annual airshow. Set in the heart of Lincolnshire and home to the Red Arrows, this is an airshow which will not fail to impress.
Flying into Manchester, we will proceed to our hotel for a short sleep. The next two days will be dedicated to airshow arrivals and practive displays. On one of these days, we will visit the Midland Air Museum, which contains a wealth of interesting aircraft, including a USAF F-4C Phantom with a MiG kill, an Argosy and a Vulcan. Saturday and Sunday will be at the airshow, where we will have access to the Grandstand with all the related facilities. On Monday, after the morning departures, we will head back to Manchester, where, time permitting, we will visit the Aviation Viewing Park (Concorde, Nimrod, Trident) before checking in for our return flight to Malta.
