In addition to beautiful jewelry we will also have exquisitely crafted metal sculpture and hand forged items for sale.

CREATIVE ARTS CAMP, AGES 5-6: Campers will exercise their imagination each day through interactive activities relating to weekly themes. Children will participate in both art and drama activities, going home with art projects and new skills in theatrical storytelling.
VISUAL ARTS CAMPS, AGES 7-10: Exciting hands-on art projects allow campers to
explore art, meet creative challenges, and develop fundamental art skills. Campers will broaden their creativity through drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and many other artistic mediums. Finish the week with an art show on Friday at 2:30 to share your awesome artwork!
PERFORMING ARTS CAMPS, AGES 7-10: Learn the art of acting, improvisation,
song, dance, and how to perform before a live audience. Campers will explore how to create characters and costumes, as well as, prop and set design while learning about stage direction. No two camp sessions will be the same as each week will offer a unique and exciting theatrical experience. Finish the week with a final performance on Friday at 2pm to share your amazing talent!
STUDIO ARTS CAMPS, AGES 11-14: Discover new and exciting specialty camps each
week led by seasoned professional instructors. Our studio arts instructors provide campers the opportunity to experiment or refine techniques in a specific art medium. RAKU - PLAY WITH FIRE Raku is a Japanese-inspired firing process that creates spectacular results very rapidly. Lots of smoke, fun, spontaneity and surprises! We will also explore alternative firing techniques such as sawdust and saggar and various decorating techniques including terra sigillata, propane torching, smoking, etc. The emphasis is on glazing and firing; therefore, some experience with clay construction methods is desirable, though not mandatory. FROM PASTELS TO PAN PASTELS This course is for beginners as well as for intermediate and advanced pastel artists. All will build their mastery of expression using traditional stick pastels and combine this with the new medium of Pan Pastels. If you want an introduction to this new medium or learn how to use it effectively, this is a workshop for you. Pan pastels are a 21st century invention. In this one-day workshop students will try and explore the many possibilities of this amazing medium and acquire a basic understanding and working knowledge of this exciting new medium. Pan pastels are a new and different from the soft pastels on which they are based. Pan pastels do not create a dusty mess, are easy to handle, and have a consistency that almost feels creamy although they are a dry medium. This workshop focuses on the different uses of pan pastels … as a sketching tool, to create an underpainting, as a fluid painting medium, etc. Instructor will provide the materials for this workshop allowing students to experiment with pan pastels without having to commit to the expense of buying them. No experience is needed to work with glass seed beads, needle and thread to learn the basics of offloom bead-weaving. Create fabrics using various stitches such as peyote, netting, herringbone, rightangle weave and spiral rope. Each class will be devoted to explaining the history of each stitch, the basics of working each stitch and variations of each stitch; such as increasing/decreasing and flat vs. tubular/circular. If I am registering my child, I understand that this program is not licensed by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning and is not required to be licensed. Spruill Arts does not offer Daycare Services. Safety rules are posted in the studio. Failure to follow safety rules and procedures may result in dismissal from the class. I also understand that the Spruill Center for the Arts has taken other reasonable precautions for my safety. I participate in this class solely at my own risk. I, the undersigned, have read this release and understand all its terms. I execute it voluntarily, with full knowledge of its significance, as a condition to participating in the class. (IN THE CASE OF A MINOR, A PARENT/GUARDIAN MUST ALSO READ AND SIGN THIS RELEASE.) Pictures are used to promote Spruill Arts for the purpose of marketing, fundraising, and information. By signing this release, I agree to allow Spruill to use images taken of myself ( or my child) and/or my work in these capacities as needed. I have also read and comply with all Spruill Center policies and procedures, including the refund and cancellation policy. (SEE PAGE 29). REGISTRATION INFORMATION HOW TO REGISTER: Complete a registration form and submit payment. Fax, mail, or drop off at The Registration Office. Register online at www.spruillarts.org. Registration will be accepted if seats are available, the registration deadline has not passed, and all pre-requisites have been met. Spaces will not be held without a registration form and/or payment. Receipts will be sent if a valid email address is provided. SCA is not responsible for receipts that are not received.
COURSE CHANGES/ CANCELLATIONS
• Changes/cancellations initiated by a student will incur a fee and MUST be accepted by an SCA employee 3 business days (M-F 9 to 5) before class or by the published registration deadline. • There is a fee for all student cancellations, based on the course fee.

RELEASE REQUIREMENTS A Release of All Claims/ Emergency Authorization is REQUIRED to participate in classes/ camps at The Spruill Center. Students/ Campers under 18 MUST also provide a parent/ guardian signature. SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION: • Summer Camp is open to campers ages 5-14 only. • We do not have the staff to accommodate special needs campers. • Camp instructors will select projects based on the age of campers and the theme of the camp session. • Additional care is offered each week. There is a fee for late pick-ups.* • SCHOLARSHIPS: There are a limited number of scholarships available for our summer camp program. Contact the Education Director at 770.394.3447, extension 229. • GROUPING REQUESTS must be submitted on the registration form. Friends must list one another and be within a two (2) year age range. We do not guarantee placement. • CAMPER DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP: Walk your child in on the first day of camp. Carpool information at www.spruillarts.org. • Multi-Camp Discount: Register for 3 camps at once: save $10 on all 3 camps and subsequent camp registrations. Register for 2 camps, and then add a 3rd in a separate registration: the $10 discount applies only to the 3rd camp registration and subsequent camp registrations. Discount will not be applied retro-actively or refunded. Must register through by fax, mail, or drop off to receive the discount. Online registrations are not eligible for the multi-camp discount. * Fee schedule for early drop offs & late pick-ups: Before 9:15am (not enrolled in before care) After 3:00pm (not enrolled in after care) After 6:00pm: $5 every 5 minutes

• The Spruill Center reserves the right to refuse/cancel registration, change or cancel any class for any reason. • Students will be notified in the event of a course changed or cancelled by SCA as soon as possible. • No refunds, transfers, and cancellations after a course has begun or beyond the registration deadline. • Emergency/Medical refunds may be available at the discretion of The Registrar with documentation. • Memberships and donations are NOT REFUNDABLE. • Monies will not be held as a credit for future use. • Previously retained fees due to a student initiated cancellation or transfer will not be refunded for any reason. Instructors • SCA general education instructors are independent contractors. Instructor contact information may be available by request. • Summer Camp Instructors are SCA employees and are drawn from the public & private school systems. They are subject to a background check at the state and federal levels. Illegally parked vehicles will be towed at owner’s expense. Pets are not permitted in the building. Only service animals are allowed on the premise.
