Welcome to Spruill Arts Summer Camp 2023

I’d like to begin with a huge Thank You to all of our campers, parents, instructors, volunteers, and staff members who helped make last summer such an amazing experience! We had 200 more campers than we have ever had (and we’ve been open for over 40 years!) We are so excited to kick off Summer Camp 2023, and we can’t wait to welcome our returning campers and new campers to Spruill Center for the Arts. Thank you so much for joining us this summer!

Last year we changed our camp schedule to include a rotation for campers ages 5-10. They spent the morning with one instructor then rotated and spent the afternoon with another instructor. It was so much fun, and it led to a better experience for the campers and instructors. We are happy to be continuing with this schedule in 2023!

Each day of summer camp offers something new and exciting:

• Magical Monday: Campers, volunteers, and instructors are encouraged to wear their brightest and most colorful clothes to jumpstart the week.

• Crazy Hat Tuesday: Wear your favorite hat, headband, bandana, or other head dressing.

• Pop Art Wednesday: Help us celebrate making it halfway through the week by enjoying a special treat of popsicles and popcorn!

• PJ Thursday: Bring a stuffed animal and wear your comfiest PJs or lounge clothes.

• Art Party Friday: Campers, instructors, and volunteers are encouraged to participate by dressing in theme related costumes or outfits. Awards will be given to the most creative. Campers will spend the day playing party games and making decorations for a creative hallway art exhibit to show parents. Join us in the hallway gallery at Spruill at 2:15 – 3:00 pm on Friday for our weekly Camp Gallery Show!
