HOPE GETS ITS FIRST ACADEMIC TROPHY! On Saturday, the 12th. Hope sent 3 eighth grade boys to St. Rita High School for an academic competition. The boys sent t..Jere Nate Cahi 11, Jimmy Connolly, and Danny Griego. They didn/t expect to win anything. They Just deciced to go for the fun of it. They first had individual competitions. Nate won 2nd place in the math. Jimmy and Danny didn't receive a piace. but they both did very good. A f t e r the i n d i v i du a 1 competition, there was team competition in which 21 oi fferent schools competed. Hope lost in the second round, but they t..Jent back in because they had the most points in the first two rounds. They went into the championship round against St. Linus. with Mrs. Connoly screaming in the oieachers. They lost to St. Linus in a t 1 e-breaker by 1 question. They alI dlo very t..Jel 1.
