Duncan ran track in H.S. where he ran a leg in his school’s 4 x 800 relay and earned Indoor All-American honors. He then took his talents to college for four years where he focused on the middle distances and excelled. 6 years at M-F

Being Mark’s son, Steve’s interest in the PV started early and quickly became his passion! He was a H.S. All-State Vaulter, later becoming an excellent coach, specializing in the vault. 9 years at M-F

Wayne played football, basketball, baseball, and track in H.S. He also coached H.S. track for 30 years and is in the Ohio Track Coaches Hall of Fame. He is our Road Warrior covering the Midwest. 24 years at M-F

BUBBA PETERSEN, Manager

Isaac was an All-State hurdler and ran the 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 relays in H.S. He then took his talents to college and ran for four years before coming to M-F. 24 years at M-F

Bubba played soccer and ran track in H.S., earning State Indoor Champion honors in the 1000. After four years of competing at the college level, Bubba joined the M-F team. 27 years at M-F

Mark was a 2X State Champion and PV record holder in H.S. and a 3X All-American vaulter in college. He then followed Bill Falk, his legendary coach, to M-F Athletic to begin his sales career. 38 years at M-F

As the son of Bill Falk, track coach and founder of M-F Athletic, Eric was born into track and field. Since joining the company straight out of college, it’s been Eric’s passion to carry the business into the future. 41 years at M-F

LEGEND I:

OTE Javelins are handmade in the USA by craftsman following the tradition of the Legendary Javelin maker Dick Held. Used in numerous Championship wins and many World Records.

The perfect choice for the majority of javelin throwers. It flies great! This model has a regular flex, even weight distribution and is more “forgiving” than Legends II and III because it’s not as stiff.

LEGEND II Recommended for stronger, more powerful throwers who can handle a medium flex with a stiffer shaft. Legend II is less “forgiving” than Legend I, but it will fly farther if you “throw through the point.”

A tailwind version of an OTE javelin describes a thicker, more blunted tip that increases the surface area in front of the javelin. HEADWIND

A headwind version of an OTE javelin describes a streamlined tip designed to help cut through the wind. This javelin tip, because of its small surface area, will have self-correcting characteristics when a thrower misses the point, adding valuable distance to a missed throw. The headwind version is ideal for 'power'throwers who lack perfect technique but make up for it with strength and torque.

Reinforced grip area makes the Turbo Javelin more durable. Grip area makes Turbo Jav feel more like a real Javelin. Start with the 27" long 300 gr. Turbo Jav to learn to throw properly “through the point” and then progress to the longer and heavier “Long Tom” models. Long Tom 500 & 600 gram Javs are 42" long.
