JALEB CHOWK AN OPEN SQUARE, OUTER COURTYARD OF THE CITY PALACE COMPOUND AND OPENING TO THE ARTERIAL STREET OF THE CITY, THIS LARGE SQUARE CONNECTED THE PUBLIC AND THE ROYAL SPACES. ‘JALEB’ IS DERIVED FROM THE PERSIAN WORD ‘ZALEB’, MEANING “TO PARADE/ DRILL” SUGGESTING THAT THE JALEB CHOWK WAS THE PARADE SQUARE OF THE JAIPUR STATE ARMY. HUGE SQUARE COURT EARLIER HAD SINGLE STOREY STRUCTURE ON ALL FOUR SIDES ORIGINALLY MEANT FOR THE PERSONNEL ATTENDANTS. TODAY THE CHOWK IS USED AS A PARKING LOT FOR VISITORS TO CITY PALACE, JANTAR MANTAR AND GOVIND DEV JI TEMPLE AND THE STRUCTURES REMAIN CLOSED.

SPECIAL PROTECTED ZONE THE SITE IS PART OF A DENSE URBAN FABRIC WHICH HAS SEVERAL LANDMARKS SURROUNDING, HENSE THE AREA FALLS UNDER SPECIAL PROTECTION ZONE, AND SPECIAL BYE LAWS ARE APPLICABLE FOR THIS ZONE ALONG WITH THE BUFFER AREA.

DESIGN SOLUTIONS PROPOSED: TO INTERRELATE JANTAR MANTAR, CITY PALACE AND HAWA MAHAL WITH EASY MOVEMENT. SINGLE COMMON PARKING FACILITY REDUCING CRISS CROSS MOVEMENT. PEDESTRIANISATION OF THE SITE ENHANCED TOURIST EXPERIANCE THROUGH MUSEUM/ PERFORMING ARTS

KINDERGARTEN


INTRODUCTION: Kindergarten is a preschool educational approach traditionally based on playing, singing, practical activities such as drawing, and social interaction as part of the transition from home to school.

SITE: the site is located in dehmi kalan near manipal university jaipur. it is spread over 5 acres.

DESIGN REQUIREMENT: To design a kindergarten school for 160 children providing an interactive environment which would nurture their abilities. requirements include-8 classrooms -activity zones -principal’s room -staff room -library

3d view shows the overall form of the building. it has an exterior glazing for the children to also feel the connect with nature and the environment.

INTRODUCTION: JBL is an American audio electronics company founded in 1946 by James Bullough Lansing. Their primary products are loudspeakers and associated electronics. product range comprises of portable speakers, home audio, headphones, wireless speakers, car speakers etc.

DESIGN REQUIREMENT: interior design project to design a retail store for jbl in select citywalk mall, new delhi. it was a corner store with the dimensions of 18x10m having one storefront. floor area -18o sqm dimensions - 18x10 m height restriction - 4m
