Who are SERBS FOR THE SERBS?
Serbs for Serbs are the people who make up a recognizable and professional humanitarian organization, capable of responding to the needs of vulnerable families and communities throughout the Balkans, with the aim of the perseverance of the Serbs by providing better living conditions for future generations. That vision motivates generous people across the globe to contribute with their volunteerism, energy and donations to create a better world in which a declining birth rate and poverty will no longer exist.
Since the charity’s inception, we have built, renovated, remodeled and furnished homes for many families, and provided livestock, greenhouses, agricultural machinery, tools and other various forms of assistance.
Through our charitable work and the principles of unity, brotherhood and complete transparency, the Charity Organization Serbs for Serbs is carrying out its mission of awakening the Serbs to the importance of connecting, organizing and helping each other.

Dear friends,
The past year has been very successful for the Charity Organization Serbs for Serbs. We have continued to grow and strengthen the organization in all areas. With the support of almost 200,000 donors, 4,006,094 euros have been raised and 259 families with a total of 812 children have been helped.
As always, various types of donations have provided numerous families with housing, and given hardworking parents the ability to start or improve their businesses, all so that our children grow up in much better living conditions.
One family, who until recently lived in a cave, has their own house now. This example best illustrates how your donations make a difference, a change for the better!
Although much has been done, the number of families contacting us for help continues to grow. This fact reminds us of the great responsibility we bear and the necessity of being present wherever the fight for the survival of the Serbian people is being waged.
That is why we are firmly determined that 2025 when we will celebrate 20 years of our work, will become another milestone in our charity’s history! We plan to raise a record amount of funds and bring smiles to more children than ever before.

The Order of St. Sava second grade was awarded by the Serbian Orthodox Church on Vidovdan, Jun 28, 2015 at the Gracanica monastery.
The Order of the Cross of Mercy of Republic of Srpska was awarded on January 9, 2018 in Banja Luka, at the celebration of the Republic of Srpska Day.
The St. George medal of the 1st degree was awarded by the Diocese of Budimlja-Niksic on May 6, 2023 at the Djurdjevi Stupovi monastery near Berane.
The Order of the Holy New Martyrs of Gornji Karlovac was awarded by the Diocese of Gornji Karlovac on March 19, 2016 at the Komogovina monastery.
The Order of princess Jelena Stiljanovic (St. Elizabeth) was awarded by the Diocese of Oseckopoljska and Baranjska on August 19, 2023 at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary monastery near Dalj.
The Award for the Heroes of the City of Belgrade was awarded in April 18, 2018 at the City hall for helping underprivileged families in Kosovo and Metohija.

Operating costs allow the organization to collect donations and carry out its activities. To a large extent, the costs are covered by contributions from members of the organization, sponsorships from legal entities, income from the sale of our store items and donations earmarked for the development and strengthening of the organization. This means that donations directed to families are minimally impacted. What makes the Charity Organization Serbs for Serbs unique in this area is that it shows all costs publicly and exhaustively in the table of cash flow on the official website. Assisting families and communities involves not only funding the projects, but also includes logistics, transport, legal, marketing, and other costs necessary to complete the projects. Thanks to this established system, the help that reaches families is increasing from year to year.

The numerous gifts, thank you notes, and drawings we receive reflect the essence of our work: happy, carefree children; warm, furnished homes; content and economically self-sufficient families.
“Trojka iz bloka”, a fundraising project/event of the Charity Organization Serbs for Serbs, was launched in 2012 to aid socially vulnerable families, with many children, throughout the Balkans. Although the project initially started as three-point shooting tournaments, from which it received its name (Three points from the neighborhood/block), today many other SFS fundraisers are called “iz bloka”. Worldwide, more than one hundred different types of events and 3,384 actual events have significantly contributed to helping 17,000 children!

ови догађаји имају и шири друштвени значај. У 2024. години направили смо још један велики искорак – Берлин је постао први град у дијаспори где је одржано донаторско вече наше организације. Осим Берлина, успешне вечери организоване
су у Београду, Чачку и Бијељини, док се Футог прикључио хуманитарном вечером пријатеља, обогаћујући ризницу СЗС догађаја. На тим манифестацијама прикупљено је 153.124 евра.
Донаторско вече у Новом Саду смо, нажалост, морали да одложимо због стравичне трагедије која се догодила у том граду.
FUNDRAISING DINNERS IN BERLIN, CACAK, BIJELJINA,
ACHIEVED OUR
These fundraising events have reaffirmed their efficacy and significance, bringing together a diverse array of public figures, successful entrepreneurs, donors and philanthropists united in their mission to support families facing hardship. Through varied programs and media exposure, these gatherings have yielded both humanitarian benefits and broader social impact. A milestone was reached in 2024 as Berlin became the first diaspora city to host our organization’s fundraising dinner. Successful events were also conducted in Belgrade, Cacak, and Bijeljina, while Futog contributed through The Humanitarian Evening of Friends, expanding our repertoire of charitable functions. Collectively, these events generated 153,124 euros for SFS.
Unfortunately, the fundraising event in Novi Sad had to be postponed due to a terrible tragedy that occurred in the city.
THE RASKOVIC FAMILY GOT A NEW HOUSE. WE MADE LUTKA, ALEKSANDRA AND DUSAN’S DREAMS COME TRUE!
They used to have eagles as neighbors, but now their home offers a beautiful view of Kursumlija. The fundraiser that inspired tens of thousands of people to open their hearts has been successfully completed! „Емотиван
“I am emotional, these are tears of joy. I hope that Ivana, the children and I will pay it forward and participate in a project to help another family”, father Zoran said with sincere gratitude.
The Raskovic family lived in an old, dilapidated mud house in the village of Svinjiste. Lutka (14), Dusan (15) and Aleksandra (13) were helping their parents with household chores and farming while still going to school, where they were bullied for being poor.
Lutka (Doll in Serbian), in accordance with her name, grew up to be a beautiful and humble young girl. She visited us at the Belgrade Book Fair where she supported the campaign for the Stevanovics family from Nis, saying “I am very glad that you helped me. I want to help others in the same way!”
THE CUTURILOV FAMILY NO LONGER LIVES IN A CAVE!
One of the most difficult stories we have encountered has a happy ending. After years of living in a cave, the Cuturilovs finally have their own house and normal living conditions!
As they jokingly said, their “bathroom” used to be “under the hill”. Now, for the first time in their lives, they have a proper bathroom, running water and a washing machine!
Once, several of them would squeeze into one bed, and instead of a wardrobe and pantry, they used an old car. Today, everyone has their bed, and there are even large wardrobes!
“My children and I are all so happy for all of this. Life will be different – the best”, said father Svetozar enthusiastically.
DRAGANA MIRKOVIC AND SERBS FOR SERBS MOVED THE MARAS FAMILY INTO A NEW HOME!
“My heart is pounding so hard that I am trembling with happiness. I am proud of our joint success in enabling such a wonderful family to have a better life, but this is just the beginning. May they be alive and well, and may they enjoy their new home together,” said Dragana Mirkovic.
Dragana Mirkovis’s “Do poslednjeg daha” (eng. Until the Last Breath) humanitarian tour raised funds for the Maras family. At her concerts this year, Dragana Mirkovis sang to help raise money to provide Sandra (10), Tamara (9), Darija (4), Rosa (3) and Mila (1) with a new home. The VODAVODA company, the main sponsor for this fundraiser, designed bottles labeled with the “Serbs for Serbs” logo and the name of the Humanitarian Tour.
In the beautiful but harsh Golija mountain surroundings, above Novi Pazar, lies the village of Gosevo, where Dusko and Klodijana live with their five daughters. Next door to their old house, which was on the verge of collapse, sits their beautiful new house, built in just a few months.
“Thank God, Dragana, the VODAVODA company and the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs. Thank you to everyone who jumped in to help us”, said the delighted parents.

Our assistance extends beyond socially vulnerable families. We also aim to support numerous hard working, large families and households that require minimal aid to regain stability, complete their homes, and address pressing concerns.
The Tufegdzic family exemplifies this situation. The parents and their six children resided in a small, crowded inherited house with shared ownership. The devoted parents intended this property for their eldest son, who works diligently alongside his father as a truck driver. For the rest of the family, they initiated the construction of a new home a decade ago.
However, the modest earnings of such a large family, coupled with the high cost of living, hindered their ability to complete and furnish the house. Consequently, we stepped in to help. Our objective was to recognize this tight-knit family that remains proactive and resilient during challenging times, echoing the wise words of Dusko Radovic mentioned in the title.
SERBS FOR SERBS RETURNS TO ALEKSA SANTIC’S BIRTHPLACE!
The Bovan family consists of parents Goran and Jelena, their four children - Miro (16), Jovo (16), Ana (13), and Nemanja (6) - as well as grandmother Vesna. Following the war, they came back to Mostar and, through dedication and perseverance, succeeded in reconstructing their house.
Over a hundred years ago, the renowned Aleksa Santic penned in his hometown Mostar, “Wherever a Serbian spirit resides; That place is my homeland; My dwelling and my hearthstone.” Inspired by these moving lines, our group following our mission, persists in its efforts in Mostar as well, striving to ensure our people’s continued existence in their ancestral homes.
Jelena is employed at a store, while Goran has spent most of his career in the timber industry. Consequently, it came as no surprise when they responded to our inquiry about how we could best assist them with the request for a tractor. In response, we supplied them with a tractor equipped with a winch and chains for timber hauling.
THE MARINKOVICS ARE RESCUED FROM THE DUNGEON OF POVERTY!
Snuggled up together on dark, cold nights, where occasional muffled sobbing could be heard, they slept together in a small room on one bed, while dreaming typical children’s dreams of a happier childhood. This was life for Marko (14), Boris (13), Nikolina (12), Filip (6) and Lazar (3) in their previous home, best described as the “dungeon of poverty” due to its catastrophic appearance and conditions.

Serbian tricolor flags, youth dressed in folk costumes, sajkaca caps, the symbolic cutting of the red ribbon, an accordion playing the beats of “Moravac”, pogaca (traditional Serbian bread) and salt, all this was part of the folk tradition that highlighted the celebration of the Marinkovic family’s move into their new house in the village of Kuseviste. This was important not only for the family itself but for the Serbian community in North Macedonia.

As life would have it, Milena (1), Pavle (4), Tijana (5), Jelena and Danilo found themselves living in a damp, cold rental house. With the father’s relatively low income as a security guard, the family was excited when they applied and were approved for a loan in 2018 and started building a house with it.

Like many honest and hard-working people who are barely making ends meet, the Radulovics were not able to progress beyond early stages of house construction, and therefore were not able to move out of the rented house to the warmth of their own home. That is why our charity organization helped with the power and water hookups, and more importantly, helped them complete the construction of their beautiful home.
It is worth mentioning that the father, Danilo, took over the responsibility of carrying out a large part of the work on the house, which speaks to their aspirations and determination.
SFS PATRON SAINT DAY (SLAVA)
CELEBRATED IN 14 CITIES!
One of the most special days of the year for members and friends of the Charity Serbs for Serbs is May 12, when we traditionally celebrate our Slava, Saint Basil of Ostrog (Sveti Vasilije Ostroski). This year we celebrated in 14 cities around the world.
In accordance with the laws of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska, the sale of these products is carried out through subsidiary entities, Bastion DOO Belgrade and Bastion DOO Banja Luka, both founded by Charity Organization Serbs for Serbs. All profits are used for the activities of the charity.
