Please express my sincerest thanks to Dr S. Srikantha Sastri for forwarding to me the interesting books “Evolution of the Ganda Bherunda” and “Early Gangas of Talakad” which I have found of great historical value. Especially the booklet on the Evolution of Ganda Bherunda with its drawings was of great interest for my study. The thesis of the derivation of the double headed eagle from the winged disk of heaven and the appearance of the double headed eagle on earliest Hittite monuments were of special interest for me just as the double headed eagle is of particular importance for German history.
