Tamiami Trail, Venice, FL Presented by Suncoast Partnership To End Homelessness: Adam Tebrugge, Board President Sarasota County Commissioner Carolyn Mason, Vice President Richard Martin, Executive Director The goals and objectives outlined in StepUp: End Homelessness in Sarasota County Now will be presented to the public and members of the press, followed by a Q&A session. Individual interviews with representatives from Suncoast Partnership will be conducted following the presentation. StepUp is made possible in part by Sarasota County, Suncoast Partnership to End Homelessness, and Gulf Coast Community Foundation.
“Street Logic” Discussion & Book Signing with Author Steve Sundberg 2:00 PM- 4:30 PM Geldbart Auditorium Selby Public Library 1331 1st Street, Sarasota, FL Presented by Steve Sundberg Facilitated by Bonnie Greenball-Silvestri Meet Steve Sundberg, author of “Street Logic.” Hear excerpts from the book ready by the author. Engage in Q&A, facilitated by Bonnie Greenball-Silvestri, and purchased a copy of “Street Logic” personally signed by the author. For every copy sold, $5 will be donated to support the implementation of StepUp. Quantities and seating are limited. “The Longest Night” Homeless Memorial & Candlelight Vigil 6:00 PM- 9:00 PM The Center of Hope, Salvation Army Sarasota 1400 10th Street, Sarasota, FL In accordance with National Homeless Memorial Day, Sarasota County Government and The City of Sarasota issue proclamations to commemorate this national day of awareness. The names of those who died while experiencing homelessness in 2011 will be read and remembered. A separate program for the event is available. This event is made possible in part by The Salvation Army-Sarasota Area Command, Suncoast Partnership To End Homelessness, and Sarasota Ministerial Association.
