HOW DID YOU MAKE YOUR START IN YOUR PROFESSION AND WHAT ASPECT OF YOUR WORK DO YOU FIND THE MOST MEANINGFUL?

Growing up in Sarasota with parents who have been deeply involved in the insurance industry for over 35 years, I couldn’t help but be immersed in the world of coverage and claims from a young age. Over dinner, my parents would talk about how insurance isn’t just a business—it’s about protecting clients and providing security. I started my professional journey by learning the ropes, guided by the lessons of my parents and the values of service that were instilled in me. The most meaningful part of my work is helping both clients and my team find confidence in the work we do. It’s not just about selling a policy; it’s about building relationships and ensuring that clients have peace of mind. As a leader, seeing my team grow and achieve their goals along the way is incredibly rewarding.

WHAT IS YOUR SINGLE, MOST SIGNIFICANT STRENGTH AND HOW HAVE YOU UTILIZED IT TO MAKE A POSITIVE IMPACT WITHIN AN ORGANIZATIONAL OR COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP ROLE?

My greatest strength is empathy. I believe that understanding and connecting with people on a personal level is the foundation for effective leadership. By actively listening to the needs and concerns of my team, I’ve been able to create an environment where everyone feels valued and supported. This has allowed me to build strong, collaborative relationships, foster trust, and create solutions that are not only strategic but also deeply aligned with the values and goals of the organization. Whether it’s guiding a team through change or helping a community come together for a common cause, empathy has enabled me to make a meaningful, lasting impact.
