She is currently serving on the National Board of Directors for the Clinical TMS Society and is a member of the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Cohen is recognized as an expert clinician in the area of TMS therapy and evaluation.

WHAT SETS YOUR PRACTICE APART?

I have always approached patient care with the idea of recognizing the complex biological, psychological and situational impact of each person’s presentation. Psychiatric symptoms are the most complicated of any medical specialty, because they potentially impact who you are and how you feel about yourself. My goal with patients is to help them understand their psychiatric symptoms and conflicts, and to work collaboratively with them to improve overall health and well-being. In over a decade of private clinical practice, I have worked with patients in both acute crisis situations as well as with more chronic, debilitating symptoms or difficulties. For some patients, seeking out care can be upsetting or difficult. My goal is to establish a safe and nurturing environment so we can do the work together, establish clear goals for a treatment plan and take proper care of the patient’s needs.
