PAVING THE WAY FOR MY GIRLS. As a mother of three daughters and raised as the only daughter of a single mother, it seems inevitable that powerful women reign supreme in my family. I moved from the UK to the US in 2005 with a long history of business entrepreneurship, having owned and operated one of the largest nightclubs in the UK, along with running restaurants and a cabaret club. When I moved into the beauty business, I became CIDESCO and BABTAC trained with the goal of having my own business. With a home in Bradenton I opened a British style day spa and salon right here in sunny Florida. In 2006, Blue Door Spa & Salon was established. I now have a thriving business, three fabulous, hardworking girls and my mom all around me. My mother is the CFO and manages, my eldest is a master esthetician and PMU, my middle is in Asheville, NC, in school to become a teacher, and my youngest is a junior in high school, working the front desk during school breaks. While I have many hobbies and passions, my true heart is Blue Door. I hope to expand to a second location in the next 12 months and refurbish our Bradenton location. I feel very blessed to have had all the opportunities to make an impact on the local community. We are the only luxury day spa in the area that offers all the spa and salon services in a relaxed spa setting–other than the five-star hotels. Each spa guest is escorted to our locker room, where they get their own locker, robe, and slippers. From there, they move on to our calm relaxation lounge or use our complimentary dry sauna before its time for their facial, massage or Thalgo body treatment. We pride ourselves on making it all about the guest experience. Our boutique hair salon is a haven of relaxation with five hair stations. Here, our guests have an in-depth consultation before their service begins. The shampoo stations offer a back massage right in the chair. The ambience in our pedicure lounge is tranquil. Sanitation being of greatest importance, we have ultramodern porcelain pedicure bowls with relaxed seating. We have no jets that can harbor bacteria. Each guest gets a neck warmer, a complimentary mimosa or wine and the best service possible.

WE WANT OUR GUESTS TO FEEL THAT THEY HAVE STEPPED OUT OF THE HUSTLE AND BUSTLE OF EVERYDAY LIFE TO A SPACE WHERE THEY CAN RELAX, FEEL PAMPERED AND TRULY TAKEN CARE OF.
