The Biophilic Offi

This design proposal is mainly based on the relationship between interior space and the h one’s emotions. That is, how a person or a user would react or behave based on their sur space and its design elements. Human emotions can be influenced by various factor based on colours, textures, shapes, materials and other features used within a space. Th everyone faces in the workplace or a learning environment are stress, the inability to co productive and affected mental and physical wellness. Many studies talk about the positive and greenery on humans and their emotions, thus, leading to human well-being - both

fice

human body and rrounding interior rs, for example he main problems oncentrate, being impacts of plants body and mind.

A nature combined workspace is the ultimate goal of this proposal to improve the health and well-being of the employers. It is preferably not to create an entire office space outdoors, so there comes the concept of biophilic and multisensory design. It is the idea of bringing the nature/outdoor atmosphere inside rather than taking it outside altogether and the primary senses of humans that pave the way to connect or bind with nature. A human-friendly office or workspace interior can be obtained when applying the biophilic design in an orderly fashion by using organic materials, shapes, forms and other elements of nature either directly or indirectly.

MOOD BOARD The mood board is designed to evoke a sense of tranquility, balance, and a deep connection with the natural world. It will be a visual representation of biophilic design principles, emphasizing the beauty and serenity found in nature. The color palette for the mood board will be derived from natural elements, embracing earthy tones and organic shades. Forest Green symbolizing lush foliage and plant life, this color will dominate the mood board, creating a strong connection to nature. Earthy Brown representing soil, wood, and natural textures, this color will add warmth and grounding to the design. Soft Sky Blue evoking the calm of the sky and water, this color will provide a soothing contrast to the earthy tones. The overall mood of the mood board should be calming, rejuvenating, and inspiring. It should transport viewers to a serene natural environment, fostering a sense of connection and well-being.

SECTION CC’

The meeting room on the ground floor level is simple, with a similar colour scheme and reflective ceiling, just as the workspace area on the first-floor level. It has access to an outer garden area and has a unique skylight/water basin feature - it is very shallow, so it holds only a slight amount of water to create a dynamic or dangling effect when the light passes through. The skylight in the meeting room acts as a water basin in the garden area, which is located right above this room on the first floor. The garden area is private and has access only from inside the building. The glass-brick facade forms the exterior wall, thus allowing lots of natural light inside and helps maintaining privacy. The glass-brick facade and skylight aid in bringing the natural environment closer to the interior spaces and allowing it to co-exist together.

Aesop The ultimate theme of the store design is to make it more personal to its location. Each Aesop store is unique and has a deeper meaning or story behind its design, but still, certain elements are maintained the same in each store. Lincoln is known for its monumental cathedral - one of the most famous cathedrals in the UK. One can spot it from any part of the city because of its topography, and the cathedral is located at the top and is very eye-catching. The geographical features and topography of the city have inspired the store’s design, and it represents and connects with the city and its people.

MOOD BOARD Maintaining a simple and subtle color scheme in Aesop store design is a deliberate choice that aligns with the brand's minimalist and sophisticated aesthetic. This design approach helps create a cohesive and calming atmosphere for customers, enhancing their overall shopping experience. To achieve this mood while ensuring that materials and fixtures complement each other.

Sreekumar Residence It is a two-storey residence located in Coimbatore, India. I worked only on the interiors of this project, and the client wanted a soft beige colour scheme for the interiors. We have maintained the same theme and colour schemes in every room of this residential house. Soft furnishings with neutral colours make it more appealing and compliments the beige wall tone. The design of the false ceiling is kept simple, and a light-coloured wooden material used in the false ceiling, doors and architraves acts as a highlighter.

05

Krishna - Office Renovation The Renovated Office Interior Project aims to transform an existing workspace into a dynamic, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment that fosters collaboration, productivity, and employee well-being.
