Refrigerant Demand: It is estimated that the total refrigerant demand under the Passive Cooling scenario will be around 82000 Metric Ton by 2037 compared to 47,000 metric ton in 2017. It is estimated that the reduction of refrigerant demand could be more than 65% by 2037 compared to the ICAP Baseline. This clearly helps India to achieve the ICAP target of refrigerant demand reduction up to 30% by 2037. Figure 40 shows the refrigerant demand and reduction in refrigerant demand compared to Baseline.
