More Than Music, More Than Love

One beautiful April morning, on a narrow side street in Tokyo’s fashionable Harajuku neighbourhood, I walked past the 100% perfect girl. So begins a story of love, told from the sweet musings of Bach to the stormy passion of Brahms, framing the centrepiece: Jonathan Shin’s musical reflections on Murakami’s brief tale of perfect love so close, yet so far. Founders of the More Than Music chamber series, Loh Jun Hong and Abigail Sin, join SSO violist Dandan Wang and cellist Ng Pei-Sian in this musical momento of loneliness and longing.
