Real-World Experiences

Upper School students from both schools participate in a yearlong experiential learning program called X-Term. This opportunity provides our students the flexibility to delve deeper into a passion or talent, explore something completely new or engage in study and service around the world.

Recent examples include:

• STEM: The Large Hadron Collider in Geneva, Switzerland

• Language and Cultural Immersion in China

• Students and Social Change: A Civil Rights Tour of the Deep South

• Rehabilitation and Sports Psyching: Achieving Peak Performance

• Service trip to St. Jacques School in Mirebalais, Haiti

• Examining the historical and cultural impact of 9/11

• Outward Bound: Adventure and Service in Patagonia
