Pictured at left and below: The newly renovated Our Lady of the Angels Chapel prominently features a Franciscan Devotional Wall (upper left hand side in the photo on the left) that was designed to honor five influential Franciscan saints. Each image is being hand-painted by Anthony Biondolillo, an SFP art teacher and alumnus from the Class of 2000. The goal is to help teach our students the important contributions that Franciscans have made throughout history. This Wall is dedicated to the memory of the late Bro. James McVeigh, O.S.F. (pictured below) who passed away in February 2021. As the Franciscan Mission Coordinator, Brother James modeled our Franciscan values: To Live Lovingly, Care for Creation, Proclaim Joy and Hope and Be a Living Instrument of Peace. He always concluded his conversations with students, faculty, and staff by saying, “Keep smiling.”

Bro. James McVeigh, O.S.F. (RIP) The “bench-style” pews were replaced with cushioned chair pews. This increased the total number of sanctuary seats and provided for more comfortable and flexible seating arrangements.
