Drop-Off/Pick-Up Procedures
Saint Joseph Academy families,
I hope this finds you doing well during and excited for the upcoming school year. We are writing today with this year’s morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up procedures. Please follow these procedures to ensure the safety of our students and families.
• All cars that are picking-up or dropping-off are to enter through the school’s main entrance on Ringgold St. andexit through the Calle Retama gates. Please see the attached map for the dropoff and pick-up location. Please follow the route as listed.
• Drop-off and Pick-up of students will be on the road alongside the football field. This provides a much longer area that will fit more cars and students will be able to get cars faster.
• Please text or call your child when you’ve arrived on campus so they will be ready to meet you on the road alongside the football field. Students can only enter your car when you are on that road.
• Please pull up as far as you can on that road and wait for your child to enter/exit the car.
• For the safety of students and other drivers, NO TURN-AROUNDS and NO DROPOFF/PICK-UP in any other areas, including the front of the school, or the Admin Parking lot.
• STUDENTS/FACULTY PARKING ON CAMPUS: To avoid congestion, all students and faculty that park on campus are to exit using the main entrance
• Student/Faculty parking on the road along the football field IS NOT ALLOWED.
• Parents that wish to park outside the main entrance on Ringgold St. and have their students walk off-campus to meet them is allowed for dismissal.
• PICK-UP ONLY: The school day ends at 3:35PM. The front gates will not be opened for pickup until 3:30PM. **Be advised that a long line often forms on Ringgold St. and onto Palm Blvd around this time**.
REMINDER: There are over 450+ families arriving onto campus around the same time and lines may be long. Being stuck in the drop-off line will not be an excuse if a student is late to class. SJA recommends all students arrive on campus at least 15 minutes before classes begin
PRO TIPS:
- First bell rings at 8:20am, 1st Period begins at 8:25am. To avoid being tardy, we recommend you ARRIVE on campus close to 8:00am, as the drop-off line gets long at around 8:10am.
- To avoid waiting in the Pick-Up line after school, consider arriving at 3:45pm.
