MODEL RULES AND CONTRACT FOR SENIORS

I, _____________________________, agree to abide by the following Rules of Conduct concerning my attitude and behavior while participating in the rehearsals and during the modeling in the Saint Joseph Academy 69th Style Show on Saturday, April 5, 2025

I. STUDENT CONDUCT

• I will abide by all school rules as explained in the SJA Student-Parent Handbook.

• I will respect and abide by all instructions given to me by the SJA VP of Academy Advancement, retail merchant representatives, the choreographers, the SJA Style Show Production Chair, the General Chairperson(s) and/or Fashion Chairperson(s).

II. MODEL RULES

• I will be assigned to participate in a designated group. I cannot change groups without the proper authorization from the SJA VP of Academy Advancement. Groups will not change after everyone is placed.

• Once I have been selected to model for a particular store, absolutely no changes will be made.

• I will be given an assigned time for fittings of clothing. I will not show up before the assigned fitting time to view clothing, and I will be prompt for my fitting appointment.

• I will be accompanied to the fitting by the Style Show Fashion Coordinator or one of their representatives. In order to keep on schedule and to avoid distractions, no one else will be permitted to accompany me.

• When I arrive for my fitting, my cell phone and any other electronic devices will be temporarily handed over to the adult in charge and returned to me once back on the bus or have left the store.

No parents, guardians, siblings, friends, etc. will be allowed to accompany me into the store. If this should happen, I may be dropped from the show.

• As a senior, I have the privilege, not the right, to participate in the Style Show.

• The retail merchants are extending SJA the favor of allowing me to model their clothing/accessories. There are certain items they want to showcase in the Style Show. The merchants will thoughtfully select the clothing I will model.

I agree to wear what is selected; I will not wear any clothing items that are not approved by the retail merchant representative. If I choose not to abide by this agreement, then I understand I will choose not to participate in the Style Show.

• As a representative of Saint Joseph Academy, I am to be courteous and respectful to all retail merchant representatives, choreographers, teachers, and parent volunteers who are working on the Style Show at all times.

• It is essential to be on time to all rehearsals; please be very mindful of this.

• If rehearsals have to start late, then rehearsal will end later than usual.

• I understand that in addition to the regularly scheduled practices during the week, the weekend prior to the show will include mandatory practices as well. Times will be determined but I agree to free my schedule and attend all practices.

• If I am going to be absent from rehearsal, I will notify Mrs. Garza-Puig and/or Mrs. Daniela Espinoza, the Production Co-chairs and/or my choreographer as soon as possible.

• If I am absent from rehearsals more than twice without proper documentation, I understand that I may be dropped from the show.

• If I miss anytime two (2) weeks prior to the show, I may be dropped from the show.

• The school administration, the General Chair(s) of the Style Show, and my parents will be notified immediately if I am asked to withdraw from the show.

• The use of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco products is strictly prohibited as outlined in the Student-Parent Handbook. If I am caught using any of these substances, I will be dropped from the show, and the Dean of Student will be notified immediately where disciplinary action will be taken.

• I will not be excused from any schoolwork during Style Show rehearsals.

III. PLEDGE TO PARTICIPATING RETAIL MERCHANTS

• I will abide by codes of dress that are appropriate for the Style Show.

• No clothing will be worn which might be offensive or obscene.

• I will be courteous to all retail merchant personnel and prompt when scheduled for store fittings.

• I will be responsible for purchasing any clothing that is damaged.

• I will not wear any perfume, tanning products, or cologne on the night of the show.

• I will not have the clothing altered in any way without explicit written permission from the retail merchant and the Fashion Coordinator.

• I will wear the proper undergarments, hosiery, and shoes to maximize the effect of the clothing.

I, _____________________________ , agree to the aforementioned terms that have been explained to me by the SJA Director of Academy Advancement and my parent/legal guardian. I will do my best to represent my school, my family, and myself in a responsible and respectful way. I understand that I will be sent home if my behavior or actions pose any threat to my own safety, the safety of others, disrupts the program, or results in the destruction of property.
