FULL-DAY ($100): 9AM-5PM • NORTH INDY CAMPUS
This week-long day camp gives middle schoolers (5th-8th grade) a chance to form new friendships as they have discussions and competitions with their “crew” of other students and a few leaders, serve alongside their peers, learn more about faith in worship times designed specifically for them, and play all kinds of insane games. This year’s theme is Medieval Mayhem! We will talk about what it means to us that Jesus is “king,” debunking the bad narratives we’ve heard of kings and learning about the selflessness of the kingdom Jesus talks about. HOUSING SYMPOSIUM: EXPLORING
OF EQUITY & STABILITY
Issues
FEBRUARY 8 FROM 6-8PM • NORTH INDY & ONLINE
The Housing Symposium kicks off our observance of Black History Month by addressing your most common questions and more. Against the physical backdrop of the exhibit entitled “Unwelcomed: A Fair Housing History of Sales & Lending Discrimination,” expert local speakers from the Fair Housing Center, Family Promise, and Fairbanks School of Public Health will address the state of housing in Indianapolis and its impact on the overall health of our community. We will bring together people who share a commitment to protect and further the rights of those facing housing instability in our community. And we will share ideas on how to affect change on a local level. You will not only learn more about this crisis, but you will also walk away with actionable steps to become part of the solution. Among other things, this includes a fundraising project designed to support a family from homelessness to housing stability through a one-year relationship with Family Promise.
