Throughout October and November, we’ll be collecting items for our ministry partners! • Warm blankets (new & gently used) for Shepherd Community • Non-perishable lunch-sized snacks (chips, cookies, crackers) for Fletcher Place • Fuzzy socks or throw blankets (new) for Outreach Inc. You can drop off these items in the collection bins located in the West Passage at the North Indy Campus by the Outreach on Sundays before or after services or Monday through Friday from 9AM to 5PM. THANKSGIVING MEALS
We are just a few weeks away from Thanksgiving and have several ways you can serve and share God’s abundance with others! Volunteers are needed to carve turkeys, prepare sides, pack meals, deliver them to homes, or serve meals downtown at Cathedral Kitchen. If you or someone you know needs a Thanksgiving meal, you can pick up a meal at Cathedral Kitchen at 14th and Penn on Thursday, November 24 from 11-2pm or schedule to have a meal delivered to your home. St. Luke’s Christmas Concerts are a favorite tradition for thousands of St. Lukers and their friends. The concerts feature our 150+ member Chancel choir, the St. Luke’s Orchestra, New Song women’s chorus, Contemporary Worship Singers, Wesleyan Ringers handbell choir, Children’s choirs, pipe organ, and special guests. Come enjoy a moving Christmas Concert that is fun for all ages! This is a free event, but registration is required due to capacity limitations. Adjusted programming will be offered at 9:30AM each week in the Lodge for youth grades 5th-12th. Sensory friendly supports, modified level activities, and a calming environment will be available in this space each week for youth who may thrive in a structure different than the typical small group structure offered for middle and high school students. One of the most loving things any of us can do is to make our funeral plans and wishes known to those who remain after we are gone. Talking about death and funerals is difficult for many of us. By planning ahead, our loved ones will not be left with unanswered questions in the midst of dealing with their own grief and sorrow.
