CHRISTMAS SERVING OPPORTUNITIES Throughout December ANGEL TREE When you read the Christmas story do you ever wonder if angels are real? Every year we come together to be angels for others by sponsoring and supporting hundreds of children and their families with Christmas gifts and household items. So what are you waiting for? Get outfitted for your halo today and sponsor a child. Please drop off all your gifts at St. Luke’s outside your worship space or at the main office December 5-12. You can also join the “heavenly chorus” by joining one of our wrapping and sorting shifts December 12-17. Signup at stlukesumc.com/christmas. SUPPORT AFGHAN REFUGEES A core belief of our faith is to “love our neighbors as ourselves.” As thousands of refugees from Afghanistan became our new neighbors in the fall of 2021, we recognized an opportunity to put our faith in action. We invite you to join us in partnering with Exodus Refugee as we sponsor Afghan families who fled to the United States, many with just the clothing on their backs. The funding we raise will help to provide housing, transportation, furniture, food, and other basic needs as Afghan refugees make Indiana home. Please give today as we love our neighbors as ourselves. Learn more and give at stlukesumc.com/christmas.
