BLACK HISTORY MONTH

Check out the following to learn more and stay engaged: • Follow us on social media @stlukesindy. • Find blogs, videos, and more resources at stlukesumc.com/antiracist. • Pick up a Celebrate Black History 247365 sticker at the Connection Center before/after service.

YOU BELONG: IN COMMUNITY Check out all the ways you can find community at St. Luke’s!

5•3•1 LEARN MORE AT STLUKESUMC.COM/LENT During Lent, we’ll be focusing on what we call the 5 • 3 • 1 (pray for 5 people, invite 3 people to church or an event, bring 1 with you!) This is important because we want to make sure everyone knows that we are a safe place where they can belong and grow in their faith no matter who they are, what they look like, or who they love. Imagine what could happen if we prayed for 10,000 people, invited 6,000 individuals, and brought another 2,000 to one of our worship experiences, groups, or events? Lives would be transformed! LENTEN GROUPS BEGIN MARCH 6 We want over 800 of you to say yes to being a part of a Lenten group! We know that being in community allows you to grow as a disciple of Jesus, engage deeper in the life of the church, and grow in relationships in a whole new way! Find a group based on life stage, specific day or time, and more at stlukesumc.com/group-finder. Mindie Moore Opening Hymn | Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee #89 Affirmation of Faith: A Statement of Faith of the Korean Methodist Church, adapted Rev. Mindie Moore Leader: Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is the one true church, apostolic and universal, whose holy faith let us now declare:

All: We believe in the one God, maker and ruler of all things, the source of all goodness and beauty, all truth and love. We believe in Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, our teacher, example, and Redeemer, the Savior of the world. We believe in the Holy Spirit, God present with us for guidance, for comfort, and for strength. We believe in the forgiveness of sins, in the life of love and prayer, and in grace equal to every need. We believe in the Word of God contained in the Old and New Testaments as the sufficient rule both of faith and of practice. We believe in the Church as the fellowship, for worship and for service, of all who are united to the living Lord. We believe in the kingdom of God as the divine rule in human society, in the final triumph of righteousness, and in the life everlasting. Amen.
