TRADITIONAL ORDER OF WORSHIP Preludes | Orchestra Welcome | Rev. Nicole Caldwell-Gross Opening Meditation Opening Hymn | We Walk By Faith Prayer of Confession/Assurance | Rev. Nicole Caldwell-Gross Leader: God of endless love, you sent Jesus to show us the way to new life, but we continue to make the same old choices. Your love can anchor us when life overwhelms us, but we choose to cling to the slippery rocks of anger and bitterness. Your love can strengthen us for every moment, but we listen to the foolish promises of the world. ALL: Forgive us, patient God. May our words be shaped by your love; may our thoughts be refined by your grace; may our actions be inspired by your Spirit, so we may share your love with others. Leader: Friends, hear the good news: God is faithful. God’s love is everlasting. God fills us with hope to live in relationship with God and one another. Thanks be to God, we are forgiven. SILENT CONFESSION LEADER: Friends, hear the good news our barrenness is not the final word when our work does not bear fruit, God still loves us. When our soil grows dry and cracked, God still longs for us. When all seems hopeless here on earth, God holds hope for us. The final word is to be found in God’s everlasting mercy. God’s fruitfulness will be showered upon us. In Jesus Christ, our sins have been forgiven! Amen!
