YOU BELONG: TO GROW & IMPACT

ST. LUKE’S - MIDTOWN We envision St. Luke’s as an explosive force of God’s radical, just and inclusive love, reaching hundreds of thousands of people in Indianapolis and beyond who have given up on church or the possibility of a God who cares about them. The launch of our newest campus, St. Luke’s - Midtown - in November 2022, is one way to accomplish this vision, and we’re looking for 100 people to join the launch team. We’re looking for all types of leaders and individuals to lead, volunteer, and more! To learn more and join the launch team, visit stlukesumc.com/midtown. DIAPER DRIVE ENDS MAY 15 You can still drop off diapers of any size (new, unopened packages) at the church on Sunday mornings or M-F between 8:30AM and 5PM. Sign up to bring diapers or donate to purchase diapers. Learn more and get involved at stlukesumc.com/diapers. UNIGOV: INTENDED AND UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES SUNDAY, MAY 15 • 4-5:30PM • ROBERTSON CHAPEL & ONLINE Over 50 years ago the people in power in Indianapolis and in the Indiana State Legislature made a dramatic change in how Indianapolis would grow and be governed. Former Lt. Governor John Mutz and former State Representative Ned Lamkin will join Attorney Fay Williams, former educator and State Senator Billie Breaux, and current City/County Council President Vop Osili to discuss these changes. We’ll explore Mayor Richard Lugar’s original idea for Unigov and what has happened since then. Here is a rare opportunity to hear from people who were around the table when decisions were made 50 years ago. Sponsored by Indiana Remembrance Coalition, the Vonnegut Museum, and IMCPL. Please register at stlukesumc.com/events. CREATION CARE WEEKEND & SOWERS GARDEN SALE SUNDAY, MAY 22 • BEFORE & AFTER SERVICES Join us next weekend as we celebrate our Creation Care Ministry. We will be highlighting St. Luke’s recent opt-in for AES Green Power (Indiana wind power) and similar renewable energy options for all church-goers as well as an outdoor Electric Vehicle Showcase co-hosted by Motor-EV. You can also stop by Door 6 to pick from an array of beautiful plants and flowers provided by Sowers. Proceeds go to Sower’s Garden. You can learn more at stlukesumc.com/adults and sign up for the newsletter at stlukesumc.com/creationnewsletter.

This week-long day camp gives middle schoolers a chance to form new friendships as they have discussions and competitions with their “crew” of other students and a few leaders, serve alongside their peers, learn more about faith in worship designed specifically for them, and (of course) play all kinds of insane games. This year’s theme is Mt. Mayhem! We will explore Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount and the “Be-Attitudes” Jesus taught us. To learn more and register, go to stlukesumc.com/students.
