We want to raise awareness and understanding about this issue in our community and will be hosting our inaugural Hunger Symposium at 1:30 PM on 4/30. Freedom Schools are summer programs designed to increase literacy, self-esteem, socio-emotional skills, and a love of learning for children in elementary school. We disrupt the summer learning slide by keeping scholars engaged and stimulated. St. Luke’s is hosting its second Freedom School help children of Washington Twp. discover their potential and greatness, utilizing books and curricula that celebrate the cultures and contributions of people of color.
