This weekend marks the end of the second Series of Stable View Eventing Academies. This provides an opportunity to reflect on what has become a permanent feature in the Stable View Calendar. While we are pleased with the part that we’re playing in the planned development of Rider and horse skills, we’d like to hear how we can improve what we’re offering so that we can increase the numbers of riders and horses that attend. This year (up until October) 423 horses have schooled on Saturday, and 481 entries have competed on Sunday. This compares with 410 and 384 at this time last year. For our part we are committed to growing the prize list so that riders have every incentive to return. One notable outcome from the Eventing Academy Series is when a Rider and Horse combination come through from the Eventing Academy to compete in their first Recognized HT. This is good for Stable View and shows that the program we have in place is as they say, doing the business. We’d like to wish you all the best today, and, as we always say, please be safe.
