Letter from the Director Dear SSDA Parents and Friends, We have to send a huge thank you to our families and friends. Your kids may not thank you enough but we understand the challenges that busy parents face in having your kids in any sport. So, a huge thank you to all of the parents out there for all of the things that you do to make your child a success in dance. Here’s a few of the amazing things that we’ve seen our SSDA parents do this year! Organize fundraiser after fundraiser so that your kids can go to competitions. Sit through long days of dance, classes, parade practice, full cast, competitions or Arts for All just to see your kid perform for about a total of 5 minutes. Thanks moms and dads! Organize what is as complex as a military strategy to get one kid to one sport, another kid to a different sport, pick-up dinner, bring it to kid #1 then kid #2, then pick kid #1 up and then go get kid #2 while squeezing in a stop for food. In our book, you should receive an honorary Master’s Degree in Organization and Management. Ask other parents, friends and family members to drive one of your kids to class so that you can see another kid make that goal, get a picture taken or go to a doctor’s appointment that they’ve needed for 3 days. Thanks families and friends! It takes a village! Figure out your budget so that your child can take that one extra class with their best studio friend! There goes your latte at Starbucks for the next 6 months. Your kids will never know the sacrifices that you make but we do and thank you so much! We know that you want the best for your child and your efforts are appreciated by us now and they’ll appreciate it in the future. There’s a million things that you do and these are just a few. We just want you to know that we see what you do and the reason that your kids are amazing is because you are an equally as amazing parent supporting them 110% along the way. Thank you for choosing Southstar Dance Academy. I am confident that our school offers a rewarding and educational dancing and social experience. Whether you are looking for a fun, nurturing class for the beginner dancer or a more serious program for the dance-minded student, we have a class for you. Any instructor involved with the studio is sure to have extensive training and experience in teaching dance, and are continually striving to increase their knowledge of dance, offering our students the latest techniques and choreography. Our goal is to provide the best possible training in dance, as well as to guide our students in developing their minds and personalities through learning self-discipline, commitment, and working with others. The result: a positive self image! We strive to create a positive, caring atmosphere for all of our students to learn dance. Our teaching is built on a foundation of sincerity and integrity. Our love for the students encourages us to continue working towards bringing out the best in each of them. We hope to share so much knowledge and create memories they can take with them even after they stop dancing. We look forward to seeing you in class this coming FALL! Thank you,
