How to Allocate and Manage iCloud Storage Space with Reason? Recently, I received an eMail from Apple. It said, "Please note, iCloud gives you 5 GB free storage space. You have currently used 4 GB, which means your iCloud storage space is almost full. If your storage space is full, backup rom devices to iCloud will be stopped, and applications will not be able to save documents to iCloud." The free storage space provided for each iCloud account is 5GB. According to official document, purchased music, apps, eBooks and photos are not included in the free storage space. Items which can occupy the 5GB space include mails, backups, documents, contacts and calendar events. 3 items which may largely occupy the storage space are mail, backup, and documents. So how to allocate and manage iCloud storage space with reason?

Check According to steps in the Apple's email, firstly, you need to check which items occupied most of the storage space. In main screen, hit "Settings" > "iCloud" > "Storage & Backup" > "Manage Storage". Here you can know the storage space allocation. I found that the backup data in iPhone occupies almost 4GB space. A player called GPlayer occupies 3.7GB. So need I deleted it so as to free up more space? No, I don't have to. Just turn off GPlayer in Backup Options.

Conclusion In fact, iCloud provides users with a more clear management interface. In the "Storage Management" screen, the current total amount and the amount of various projects, can be seen. You can also check how much space each app, each document, and each data occupy in backup. So how to allocate and manage iCloud storage space with reason? Because iCloud space is made up of mail, backup and documents. So you only need to manage the space they occupy. Mail: Click "Settings" > "iCloud" > "Storage & Backup" > "Manage Storage".
