Find Folder Location of iTunes Apps In iTune downloaded/purchased applications, the files will be stored as .ipa format in the computer, so when the users connect their iOS devices to computer, the downloaded or purchased applications will be synced to the iOS devices, such as iPhone or iPad. But sometimes we may need to backup these downloaded or purchased apps to other places, so we have to find folder location of iTunes apps in the computer. Fortunately, the locations where these locations are placed are consistent. Mac OS X 10.7 Lion: ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Mobile Applications/ Mac OS X 10.6: ~/Music/iTunes/Mobile Applications/ Windows 7: C:\Users\User Name\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Mobile Applications\ For Mac OS X system, you can directly press Command+Shift+G in the Finder, then copy the directory above into the directory area of Finder, press Enter, Done. For Windows 7 users, you can directly find the downloaded iOS apps in "Resource Manager" through the directory above. Of course, if you think you can sync directly after copying the file into another computer in the same directory, then you are wrong. And if you really need to sync the apps to another computer, firstly, you need to log into iTunes on another computer with the same Apple ID as the source computer. And authorize the computer, then you can copy these apps to sync on other iOS devices. Also worth mentioning is that although most applications are not occupied too much space, if you find that some applications are too small, often because the application is not downloaded completly, (in the download process it is interrupted), so these applications are not able to be synchronized. It does not mean that you do not have these applications, you only need to download it completly and then re-sync it.

iTunes Data Recovery If using the search in iTunes or Mac has failed to locate your file, you should consider using iTunes data recovery to recover iTunes music, photos, videos, contacts, messages, call history, notes, etc. Learn more
