Background •

Since 2010, organized producers, manufacturers, entrepreneurs, and exporters of cocoa and its byproducts have held the Cocoa and Chocolate Showcase, with the help of the public and private sectors, as well as international cooperation, in an effort to increase the quality, productivity, and exportable supply of Peruvian cocoa and position it in both the domestic and international markets.


Purpose of the Showcase Bring together the different Peruvian and international economic agents involved in the cocoa production chain in order to manage knowledge, exchange information, establish contact networks, and promote the commercial activity of cocoa and its byproducts in the domestic and international markets.

Showcase Objectives • Highlight the value of Peruvian cocoa as a native product of the Peruvian Amazon, with a broad genetic diversity, fostering the internal consumption of chocolate. • Bring cocoa and chocolate culture closer to the general public, informing them of the benefits of these products.

• Promote the integration and internationalization of producers’ associations and Peruvian firms. • Contribute to Peru’s economic, technological, and social development nationwide.

Exposition and Sale Showcase •

The most complete and select group of cocoa and chocolate producers in the country, with a total of 70 exhibition and sale stands.

Active participation of the most representative public, private, and international cooperation institutions in the cocoa and chocolate value chain.


Cocoa and Chocolate Competitions The Sixth Showcase will include the awards ceremonies for:  NINTH NATIONAL COCOA COMPETITION  FIRST NATIONAL CHOCOLATE COMPETITION

Master classes offered by Peruvian and international experts on topics such as:

Throughout the event, Peruvian and international master chocolatiers will offer master classes on exquisite preparations using cocoa and chocolate.

Live culinary, cocktail, and patisserie demonstrations.


Sculpture Exhibition Exhibition of the 7 Wonders of the World, made of chocolate.


Tasting and Pairing Area •

Expert tasters will teach the public to identify the physical and sensorial characteristics of good cocoa and chocolate.

Pairing classes will be offered to match cocoa and chocolate with other ingredients for patisserie, cooking, liquors, beverages, etc.


Value chain From Cocoa to Chocolate The process undergone by cocoa will be exhibited, from the field to the final product, along with the industrial evolution of its processing and handling.


Artistic / Cultural / Recreational Activities There will be a area for cultural activities and workshops open to the public, including:  Thematic fashion show  Media personalities presenting chocolate-related activities  Health and beauty treatments involving chocolate


Choco-Kids Area Activities will include mini-chefs, chocolate handprints, patisserie, puppet shows, storytelling, and the little house of chocolate, etc.
