Employment & Recruiting Services wants to connect you to the right people at the right time. We want to partner with you to build a pipeline of really good people who you want to work with every day.

YOU ARE ALREADY DOING IT. You are meeting the right people all the time. When you meet them, it may not be the right time. But someday it might be. We want to track these people for you.

GIVE US THE NAMES. If you give us the names of the best and the brightest students, scientists, technicians and staff you collaborate and meet with from around the world, we will make connections. We will start to build a pipeline of good people. We won’t make promises to these people, but we will build relationships that we might leverage in the future.

By building, tracking and maintaining these relationships we will create a pool of potential candidates for future staff openings. We will develop an employment pipeline, so that when you are ready we are ready. This will allow us to decrease the amount time you have to wait to fill a critical position. So, you can keep doing what you do best.

OTHER THINGS YOU CAN DO: Low Effort Activities • Collect business cards • Pass out your business card • Pass out Employment & Recruiting Services cards and promotional items • Join LinkedIn. Build strong online profiles • Ask people in your lab to put links to your job postings on their social media pages Medium Effort Activities • Be an active participant in social media • Host talks at Caltech and invite us • Invite us to conferences High Effort Activities • Actively engage in recruiting by outreaching to your professional network • Host recruitment events on campus with the assistance of Employment & Recruiting Services 11
