CAMPUS TRANSFORMATION

We are dedicated to creating the next generation of learning, teaching and working spaces for our staff, students and visiting stakeholders.

We wanted to build upon our existing award-winning estate with a focus on providing an atmosphere of collaboration and interactivity for all who study, work and visit. To this extent we are creating unique spaces for work and social activity to enhance the experience for all.

DATA JUNCTION

The Data Junction is one of our new units and is designed to accelerate our commitment to digitally focused academic areas.

Housing our Computer Science and Cyber Security programmes, this mega-laboratory is truly ‘plugged in’.

In addition to advanced wireless casting and presenting facilities, new teaching and learning technology allows for synchronous delivery of different classes and activities and encourage working across subject areas so that students benefit from peer-to-peer working as reflected in industry. There is also a dedicated cyber and networking laboratory as well as additional meeting spaces and a self-serve coffee bar.

DIGITAL LOFT

The Digital Loft is the same in size and scope as our existing campus and has been created with a hybrid digital and natural world aesthetic.

Reload is the showpiece retro-gaming cafe. It’s the perfect place to grab a bite to eat and socialise between classes. New teaching and collaboration zones for all subject areas, a dedicated presentation space and a dedicated faith room round off the facilities.

This area of campus also houses the academic staff and student support teams as well as a number of bookable meeting spaces for all. Fully integrated virtual conferencing is embedded throughout and there are private pods for all to use for their work or online meetings.

PRODUCTION WAREHOUSE

The Production Warehouse is home to our Arena as well a number of independent learning areas, a concept art studio, providing the best industry approved facilities for students.

Our bespoke esports arena will help you become familiar with the industry that is taking the world by storm, and you’ll be able to hone your craft in event organisation, planning and technical skills. Our games studios will function as your primary classroom when you have on-campus learning. Each dual-monitored setup has its own PC with a modern graphics card.

There are also plenty of spaces to relax and unwind. The Den provides dynamic areas that contains soft seating and desk areas with various electrical points. In addition, The Hub provides fridges and microwaves for making food and drinks and a perfect spot to relax between classes or to create informal meeting spaces for group work.
