INTERNATIONAL TESTIMONIALS

Whatever you choose to study, your journey as an international student at Staffordshire University will truly unique. Our global network of students are Proud to be Staffs, and have some amazing stories to share with you… I was attracted to Staffordshire University during clearing because the staff I spoke to were very welcoming and accommodating. Due to the great experience I had during my undergraduate study I chose to stay and do the masters programme provided. The laboratory work was great because it really helped me understand the theory and also allowed me to develop great lab skills.

CHIEDZA PENI MSC MOLECULAR BIOLOGY

Working as a student ambassador was one of the best parts of my experience at Staffs because it really allowed me to discover and explore areas within the university, I would not have experienced outside of my studies.

I felt like this course would help me to gain all the knowledge, experience, and skills that I need to be a successful software engineer. I like how the assessments of the modules are more focused on the practical work rather than just theoretical work because I believe that a person can learn things fast when he/she actually performs it practically rather than just knowing it theoretically.

SULTAN SHAWKAT KAZI

MSC COMPUTER SCIENCE (SOFTWARE ENGINEERING)

I was very excited about moving to the UK but I was kind of nervous as it was a completely new environment for me. It was scary but very exciting. I participate in a group called ‘One Staffs Café’ They get to know each other, play games, do activities and talk. It’s welcoming.

MARIAM SHAMS FASHION

28 l INTERNATIONAL GUIDE 2022

I decided to go to Staffs because the course has not only a practical side but also the post-production side. I wanted to study both so this was the perfect fit for me. What I really like about my course is that my teachers are from the industry and they know how things work and can give us valuable insights. They don’t just tell us the theory of how things work.

VICTORIA WETZEL

DIGITAL FILM AND POST-PRODUCTION

When I decided to come to the UK to study, I had these things in mind: Reputation, Environment, Support, and up-to-date technology. At Staffs Uni, we have several equipped laboratories, which gave me first-hand industrial-based exposure and experience and helped me settle a promising career. The notable ones are the renewable energy lab in the Science centre.

PRECIOUS OMOROGBE

MSC ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING AND RENEWABLE ENERGY SYSTEMS

The support I have received from the University has been aweinspiring, beginning with the seamless assistance with my enrolment and visa application to settling into academics. The staff and tutors supported me with digital skills and career advice to ensure I had the right skill set for my course and find a part-time job. With the knowledge gained, I have secured a graduate job even before completing my course.

I really enjoyed my time in the UK. What I loved about Staffordshire University is that its campus is nestled in the quiet and serene city of Stoke-on-Trent. Upon my arrival, enrolling at the university was quick and easy. I was quite impressed by the modern facilities and the services available to students and of course the very friendly, interactive and professional teaching staff for the LPC who ensured that I had all the resources to succeed.

JONATHAN ALEXIS

I’m so grateful for the time I had at Staffordshire University and proud to call myself a Staffordshire University alumnus.
