TODAY IS An Open Day is your chance to get a taster for what life will be like as a Staffordshire University student, with a whole day dedicated to finding out more about your chosen subject. Today is your opportunity to gather everything you need to know. You’ll take in our impressive onsite facilities, see our £40 million investment in action, meet our brilliant people, chat to current students, attend talks, visit the Students’ Union, and explore the halls of residence. You’ll learn how you can get an edge over the graduate competition with guaranteed work experience across every one of our courses. But it isn’t just our Guarantee that makes studying at Staffordshire University so rewarding. Everyone who enrols with us and attends an Open Day between September and December 2015 will receive a £1,000 kickstart towards University costs in the first year.

FIRST THINGS When you arrive the first thing you need to do is to register by heading to the The Science Centre (Map Reference 29). Here, you can meet and talk to staff and students from Faculties and Support Services. If you have any questions or queries, the Information Hub is where you will get them answered. Whether it’s about the application process, accommodation, finance, making friends, course specific queries, or anything else then there’ll be somebody on hand to help.
TOURS START FROM 9.00
This is your opportunity to find out more about the campus, our facilities, Students’ Union and accommodation. Tours run through the day until 16.00 and start from outside the The Science Centre (Map Reference 29).
SUBJECT SPECIFIC PRESENTATIONS START FROM 11.00 AND 14.00
You will meet course tutors and current students allowing you to delve under the skin of your course and Staffordshire University. Along with a full tour of our facilities, you’ll be able to enjoy interactive taster sessions and hands-on learning experiences specific to your course.
TALK THE WELCOME TO STAFFORDSHIRE UNIVERSITY
This is our welcome to you and where you’ll gain insight into the values and goals of Staffordshire University. It includes a Student Life Talk given by a current student; they’re there to share their personal experiences as a Staffordshire University student and answer any questions you might have.

WALK CAMPUS TOURS
Take a stroll around the campus. Walking tours take place from 9.00 outside The Science Centre (Map Reference 29). One of our current students will show you around and answer any questions you may have about student life, studying or the local area. Tours run until 16.00 and take about an hour.
ACCOMMODATION TOURS
Accommodation tours run from 10.00. They last around 45 minutes and this is where you’ll get to see your potential new home. Just head to The Science Centre (Map Reference 29) to begin your tour.
LIBRARY TOURS
At Staffordshire University there’s more to our libraries than just books. We have state-of-the-art facilities which provide all the knowledge and technology you’ll need – as well as PCs, Macs, unlimited Wi-Fi, a variety of study environments and over 500,000 books and 16,000 journals. Tours run from 10.00. They start in the Library Reception, Cadman Building (Map Reference 1) and take about 15 minutes.

When you need to re-fuel just keep an eye out for one of our various catering outlets. The Stoke Campus is home to the Brindley Food Court on the Leek Road site (Map Reference 21). The Students’ Union also have shops based on both our Leek Road (Map Reference 25) and College Road sites (Map Reference 10).
